His reporting focuses on race and politics; among other things, he’s written about the true meaning of Juneteenth, policing, Black voters, and white nationalism in the Trump administration. Previously, Sean was Vox’s weekend editor, an editor at Blavity, and a chemical engineer. Originally from Chicago, he currently resides in Washington, DC.
